craft fair

This morning we participated in a local craft show for a few hours. Between the random downpours of rain and the light crowd it wasn't our most successfull show ever, but I definitely learned a few things :)

 Some things I learned:

1) have pictures (look-book or slideshow) of what your items look like in different settings

2) Place free literature on your table! We had quite a few people pick up our business cards and tell us they'll look at our online shop as it gets cooler out.

3) Be friendly and active, don't just sit down behind your booth

4) Create of variety of items in a wide price range

5) Bring items for all ages if you can. A few people asked about baby or little kid items and I wish we would have had some :)

craft show prep

I'm so excited about the local craft show I'm participating in this weekend with my sis! We found out we were participating on Tuesday so it has been a pretty busy week tagging items, finishing them off and labeling prices etc. So much to think about!
